Himalayan Salt Footplates

Our Himalayan Salt Products are mined from protected reserves deep within the pristine Himalayan Mountain Range, crystallised over 250 million years ago.  The salt remains untouched by pollutants and is the most natural form of salt available (100% natural, organic, chemical free, no additives, fragrances, colours or preservatives).   The salt is mined as large boulders, which are then sliced into slabs, blocks and plates.

Himalayan Salt Footplates help to draw out toxins and impurities from the body.  The salt is antimicrobial, antiseptic, hypoallergenic and ionic.  The Footplates will not only detoxify the body, but will also soften your skin.  Their warmth helps relieve stress and promote relaxation after a long day.  They can also help with oedema.

Himalayan Salt Footplates (sometimes referred to as Foot Blocks) can offer many therapeutic benefits to both feet and hands.  Their uses are varied and can be customised to individual therapeutic and aesthetic practices such as foot detoxification, reflexology, manicures, pedicures, sports therapy, arthritic hand conditions, etc.

How to use your Himalayan Salt Footplates

1.  Simply place each Footplate in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds or in the oven at 250 degrees for approximately 7 minutes.  With a little practice, you will be able to adjust the exact heating time required for your own personal use.
2. Once warmed, use an oven-mitt or cloth to handle.  It is advisable to place the Footplates onto a towel rather than straight onto the floor.  This avoids the Footplates from slipping or scratching floor surfaces.
3. Ensure the Footplates are of a comfortable temperature before placing your feet on them.  Sit and relax for at least 20-minutes and enjoy the warm, soothing feeling and let the detoxification process begin.  You can keep your feet on the Footplates for longer and reheat as needed.
4. To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth and store somewhere safe for next time!  Do not use any detergents or immerse in water.

Himalayan Salt Footplates can also be placed in the fridge or freezer and used as Cold Treatments on feet and hands.

We recommend you use your Himalayan Salt Footplates at least once per day.  Using them in the evening seems to be the best time to release all those daily stresses and especially if you spend a lot of time on your feet during the day.

There are no known health risks associated with using Himalayan Salt Footplates.
